Tether (USDT)

Tether (USDT) is a type of cryptocurrency known as a stablecoin, introduced to maintain a stable value by pegging it to the value of a traditional fiat currency, like the US dollar. Each USDT is intended to be equivalent to one US Dollar, and this is achieved through backing by fiat currency reserves held by the issuer. Tether is widely used as a bridge between traditional currencies and digital assets.
